Deputy Foreign Minister of Germany visits AMANTECH

(Lahore June 11th, 2015) Deputy Foreign Minister of Germany, Mr. Stephan Steinlein led a political and business delegation arriving from Germany to AMANTECH, Pakistan’s premier vocational training institute. Mr. Ahmad Jalal, CEO, The Aman Foundation, and Mr. Shams Badruddin, CEO of AMANTECH, welcomed the delegation. The delegates were given a tour of the institute where students demonstrated their newly learned skills at   AMANTECH’s state-of-the-art facility. The new Mechatronics workshop which has recently been launched as a result of GIZ’s partnership with AMANTECH was particularly of interest to the delegation.[ads2]AMANTECH

The Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr. Steinlein, expressed his appreciation for AMANTECH in his address: “I am very impressed to see the facility and opportunity being given to the underserved at AmanTECH.”  Mr. Shams Badruddin, CEO, AMANTECH commented: “AMANTECH is looking to scale the vocational training initiative and building upon collaborative partnerships in order to expand vocational training to cater to more fields and increase employment opportunities for our students.”

Mr. Ahmad Jalal, CEO of The Aman Foundation addressed the delegation by saying: “The Aman Foundation and AMANTECH’s partnership with GIZ, through the Cooperative Vocational Training (GPATI) program, is a great success, and is helping empower underserved youth through exceptional hands-on skills training. We look forward to continuing our cooperation and building upon this to expand our partnership with Germany to continue to transform lives of underserved communities.”[ads2]
